New in the API: live search, Amazon's results page on your terms

Shared by Neil •

We've added live search to the Datarova API. It's a new endpoint that fetches Amazon's search results for a keyword the moment you ask, so your own tools and AI assistants can see the page as it stands right now.

Rank tracking gives you a dependable daily record. Live search gives you an answer on demand:

  • As often as you like. Hourly during a launch, every few minutes during a promotion, or once to settle a question.
  • From the location you choose. Pick a delivery postcode and see the results shoppers there are shown.
  • As deep as you need. Look past page one and follow a product down the results until you find it.
  • For any keyword. No need to add it to a project first.

Hand it to your AI assistant and let it keep watch: tell me when my listing reaches page one, or who started advertising on this keyword today.

Selling on amazon.com.au? Everything you rely on in Datarova now works for your Australian listings.

Track where your products rank for the keywords Australian shoppers search, day by day. Use Keyword Spy to find the search terms that drive sales in your category, and ASIN Insights to see which keywords are sending sales to your competitors. Then watch your ranks respond as you act on what you find.

Create an Australian project and your tracking starts straight away.

Every keyword you track, with its sales data, in one file

The Keywords tab tells you what each keyword in a project is really worth. Now you can take that same data out of Datarova for all your projects at once, in a single request.

Each keyword comes with everything you'd see in the app:

  • What it's worth. Clicks, sales and conversion rate, plus whether sales are trending up or down.
  • Who is winning it. The top-selling product for that keyword and how well it converts.
  • Where you stand. Your current organic and sponsored positions, and how many of your tracked products are in the top ten.
  • What it takes to rank. The daily sales you'd need to reach the top of the page.

And you choose what goes in the file:

  • Any mix of projects. Everything you track, selected projects, one marketplace, or only the projects with a particular label, such as one client or one brand.
  • Just the keywords that matter. Use your labels to pull only your top priorities, your branded terms or the keywords behind a campaign.
  • The format your tools prefer. CSV for spreadsheets, JSON for everything else.

Hand the file to your AI tool and ask the questions that take hours by hand. Which keywords are growing fastest? Where is a competitor converting better than you? Which keywords are worth more ad spend, and which are you ranking for but getting nothing from?

All your ranks in a single request, exactly the way you want them

If you pull your ranks through the API each day, you know the routine: one request after another, project by project, waiting for it all to finish and watching your request allowance drain.

Not any more. Ask once, and Datarova prepares a single file with your ranks, ready to download. And you decide exactly what goes in it:

  • Any dates you like. Yesterday's ranks for your morning update, last week for a review, or a whole month to study a trend.
  • Any mix of projects. Everything you track, a handful of projects, one marketplace, or just the projects carrying a particular label, such as one client or one brand.
  • Just the keywords that matter. Use your labels to pull only your top priorities, your branded terms or the keywords behind a campaign.
  • Your products, or the whole field. Keep it to your own main products, or include every competitor you track alongside them.
  • The format your tools prefer. CSV for spreadsheets, JSON for everything else.

Every row gives you the organic position, the sponsored position and whether the Amazon's Choice badge was showing, so the full picture arrives in one go.

Your daily update finishes sooner, your scripts get simpler, and your API requests are freed up for everything else you want to build. Point your AI tool, your spreadsheet or your dashboard at the file and get straight to the answers.

Never wonder why a rank moved again

Notes on the Rank Tracker show what was happening when your ranks changed. The catch has always been remembering to add them. Now your tools can do it for you.

With the API, your AI assistant or your own systems can record events as they happen. A price change, a coupon going live, a listing update or a new ad campaign can each appear on your rank chart automatically, on the day it happened.

The next time a keyword jumps or drops, the likely cause is already there on the chart.

Let your AI keep your projects organised

Neil avatar

A well-labelled account is far easier to work with, but labelling by hand is the job nobody gets round to. The API can now do it, so your AI tools can take it on.

Ask your assistant to sort your keywords into groups that mean something to you: branded and competitor terms, top priorities, or the keywords behind each ad campaign. Have it tag projects by brand or by client. New keywords can be labelled the moment they're added, so nothing ends up in an unsorted pile.

Then filter any view down to exactly the group you care about and see how it's performing.

Your AI assistant can now manage your Datarova projects

Neil avatar

Until now, the API could only read your data. From today it can make changes too, which means the AI tools you already use can do your project setup for you.

Tell your assistant what you want in plain English. "Set up tracking for the product we launched this week." "Add the search terms from this ad report to the right projects." "Remove everything for the products we've discontinued." It works through the Datarova API and gets it done, while you carry on with something else.

No clicking through screens and no copy and paste. You decide what should be tracked, and your AI takes care of the rest.
